'Living a Nightmare': Relatives of Unaccounted For Teenagers Desperately Seek News After Alpine Fire
The loved ones of teens missing after a devastating inferno at a venue in a Switzerland's winter destination are confronting an agonising period of uncertainty for official news and appealing for clues about their loved ones publicly.
The blaze engulfed the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the mountains of the Valais region, in the small hours of the first day of the year. Verified images depict the roof structure being engulfed in flames as bottles with sparklers are raised in celebration.
Emergency services have warned that it could take an extended period to identify the fatalities of the tragedy, which killed numerous partygoers and wounded another scores more. Authorities stated on Friday that the majority of the those hurt have been identified, with efforts still underway to locate the remaining few.
In the waiting period, loved ones have been taking to social media to plead for information about their missing relatives who were present at the venue that night.
Heartbreaking Pleas for the Unaccounted For
The location of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are currently unknown, according to an appeal from his parent.
The resident of Lutry near the city, told a publication that she had returned to Lausanne to see if he was in the medical facility, while his other parent did the same in Bern, but was unsuccessful.

She continued that some of his companions had been discovered with burns covering nearly half their bodies. "There are no words; they experienced an absolute nightmare."
The Italy's foreign ministry has confirmed that a number of of its young people have not been located.
